WELCOME TO
Spain
Growing up watching old European movies with my mom, I had always dreamed about the Southern Coast of Spain. Long winding roads along the ocean, vintage cars with the tops down, traditional cobblestone streets that smelled of the salty ocean breeze, and the classy European feel. I’m sure that used to all be true, however, modern day toursism has absolutely transformed that vibe. Every corner and road you drive upon is packed full with condo complexes and every restaurant is filled with British and French tourists, who we’ve decided have taken over everywhere. The large cities of Rhonda, Grenada, Marbella and Cordoba are still as charming as ever and full of Spanish history. However, if you’re expectations of the coast were what I described above, I would quickly readjust them. Although it wasn’t quite what we expected, our ipomtu trip along the coast was still full of adventures, fantastic food, beautiful Spanish cities, and countless stories as we tried to outrace the hurrican pounding the Portugese Coast.
